Why do work socks matter in a safety boot?
Because a safety boot is stiff and a thin sock lets it rub. A cushioned work sock takes the friction that would otherwise become a blister, and a thermal sock keeps the foot warm inside a steel toecap, which conducts cold considerably more than a composite one does.
Are these sold singly or in packs?
Mostly in multipacks, with the pack size in the product name, such as a 3 pair pack or a 12 pack. The price shown covers the whole pack, ex VAT.
