Disposable Coveralls — common questions
Straight answers about what we stock, how it is sold and which standard applies.
What do Type 5 and Type 6 mean?
They are the protection types under the disposable clothing standards. Type 5 is EN ISO 13982-1 and covers airborne solid particles, which is the dust and fibre job. Type 6 is EN 13034 and covers limited splash of liquid chemicals. A suit marked 5/6 does both at those limited levels, and neither is a gas tight or liquid tight suit.
Are these single use?
Yes. They are worn once and disposed of, which is the point when the contamination is what you are trying to leave behind. For reusable flame retardant or general coveralls, use Workwear.
This section contains overshoes. Why?
Because some overshoe products were filed here at import. We know about it and it is being corrected in the catalogue. The coveralls in this section are genuine, and the overshoes belong elsewhere.
