What is the FS code in an Amblers product name?
It is the style number, and it is the fastest way to reorder exactly what someone already wears. FS9, FS65, FS161, FS188N and FS199 are all distinct lasts and builds. Quote the FS code and the size and there is no ambiguity.
Do Amblers make occupational as well as safety footwear?
Both, and the difference matters. EN ISO 20345 means a 200 joule toecap. EN ISO 20347 has no toecap requirement at all. Amblers list under both standards, so check the individual product against what your site specifies.
What is a Goodyear welted boot?
A construction where the upper is stitched to a welt rather than glued to the sole, which makes the boot resoleable and generally longer lived. The FS9 in this range is built that way. It is heavier than a cemented boot and it lasts.
