These are body measurements, not garment measurements — the garment is cut larger.

Numeric-waist trousers (Redhawk, Everyday) are sized by the waist in inches with short, regular and tall legs.

All measurements in inches, tolerance ±0.5 in (ØRN's stated tolerance).

Inside leg: Short 74 cm / 29 in, Regular 79 cm / 31 in, Tall 84 cm / 33 in.

Result's own words: measure the fullest part of the bust and follow this conversion. It is the only numeric table they publish brand-wide; for men's and unisex they give measuring instructions and no chart, so use the product's own sizing or call us.

Length is from the shoulder point and sleeve is from the underarm including the cuff, which is how Kustom Kit measure them. Their own ladder leaves 34-36in between XS and S. On this style 4XL and 5XL are a limited colour range and 6XL is black and navy only.

Their shirt table goes 4XL then 6XL. There is no 5XL row, and that is how it is published.

Above a 40in waist Henbury publish no short, regular or long leg at all, only a 36in UNFINISHED leg to be taken up. Reproduced as published.

Uneek's own chart skips 48-50in between 2XL and 3XL, and 56-58in between 5XL and 6XL. Reproduced as published, so ask us if you fall in either gap.

Warrior's own chart skips EU 40 and 45. Reproduced as published, so ask us if you are on either.

An empty cell is empty in MASCOT's chart. They print an alpha size against 11 of the 22 C-sizes, and an inch figure only every other size below C52. The C-size is the one that always exists.

MASCOT's chart is ragged here. XXS, XS, 4XL and 5XL carry no collar size, and the three largest collars carry no alpha size. C-sizes with nothing published at all are left out. Applies to products 17304, 13004, 12004, 09004, 06004, 00503, 22904, 23004 and 23104.

Bib & braces are not made in the odd-numbered C-sizes. Trouser leg lengths are 76, 82 and 90 cm (30, 32 and 35 in).

The UK/US gentleman column is the waist in inches. The lady columns repeat in places, two C-sizes both landing on UK 4, on UK 10, on UK 14 and on UK 20, because two men's C-sizes fall inside one ladies size. Reproduced as published.

MASCOT's jeans chart runs 29 to 34 in single steps then jumps to 36, 38 and 40, so there is no 35, 37 or 39. Leg lengths are 30, 32, 34 and 36 in (76, 82, 87 and 92 cm).

This is the product's leg length, not a body measurement. MASCOT gives 43 cm as 19.9 in, where 43 cm is 16.9 in. Reproduced as published, so ask us before ordering a run on that one.

Each alpha size spans two centimetres of head measure in MASCOT's chart, which is why the ranges pair up.

DIAMOND is the fit for a waist-to-hip difference of more than 20 cm. Pick your size on the hip. XS carries no EU or UK code in MASCOT's chart and is only made in MASCOT FOOD & CARE. Leg lengths are 76 and 82 cm (30 and 32 in).

PEARL is the fit for a small waist-to-hip difference. Pick your size on the hip. The French sizes differ between the two fits, PEARL running 36 to 58 against DIAMOND's 34 to 56, even though the EU and UK codes are the same. Leg lengths are 76 and 82 cm (30 and 32 in).

Size children by height first, not by age.

Which width a boot comes in depends on the product. The smaller sizes are the slimmer width 8, and 39 to 52 come in width 10 or 11. A toe cap and sole change how a safety boot sits, so try a pair before committing to a run.

This is the only supplier footwear chart we hold that runs EU 39 to 52 unbroken. Warrior's and Supertouch's both skip sizes, so do not borrow one maker's conversion for another.

Width 11 stops at 50 where width 10 carries on to 52. Above a 50 you are in width 10 whatever the product.

The sleeve row is Blackrock's, not a typo of ours. It climbs to 35-36 at XXL and 3XL and then drops back to 33-34 for 4XL, 5XL and 6XL, so their 6XL carries a shorter sleeve than their XXL. Chest, waist and hip all step a clean 4in a size. Ask us if the sleeve matters on your order.

Every hip span is 2in except the 44in waist, which Blackrock gives as 52-54. Reproduced as published. We stock a 30 upward; the 28 is on their chart but not on our shelf.

Blackrock's own words: there is no standard for converting shoe sizes, so have your feet measured rather than ordering off a conversion. The UK men's and UK ladies numbers are identical the whole way down; only the US columns differ, and both US columns start late (men at EU 38, ladies at EU 36), so the smallest sizes carry a UK and a Euro number only. Ladies stops at EU 43 where men's carries on to 52.

Blackrock prints no unit on this chart. The figures are millimetres, which their own numbering confirms: 178, 203, 229, 254 and 279 mm are 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 inches, so the glove size IS your palm circumference in inches. Measure the widest part of your dominant hand and the length from middle fingertip to wrist, then take the larger of the two numbers and round up if you fall between.
