Safety Goggles — common questions
Straight answers about what we stock, how it is sold and which standard applies.
When do I need goggles rather than safety glasses?
When the risk comes from the side or from below, or when it is liquid or fine dust rather than a flying fragment. Goggles seal against the face, so they are what you wear for chemical decanting, overhead grinding and heavy dust. Glasses are more comfortable and do not seal.
Do goggles fog up?
Unvented goggles will, in warm or humid work. Indirect vented goggles cut it considerably while still keeping splash out. Check the individual product for an anti-fog coating.
