Polos — common questions
Straight answers about what we stock, how it is sold and which standard applies.
What does the UV rating on a polo mean?
EN 13758-2 certifies a garment for protection against solar ultraviolet, which matters for anyone outdoors all summer. It is tested on the fabric, so it holds as long as the garment is intact and not stretched thin. Several of the hi vis polos here carry it.
Coolmax, bird eye or plain cotton?
Coolmax and bird eye are both built to move sweat off the skin and dry fast, and bird eye is the more open knit of the two so it breathes harder. Plain cotton is more comfortable standing still and worse once you are working. For a summer crew uniform the technical fabrics are the ones people keep wearing.
Short sleeve or long sleeve?
Long sleeve polos are in this section too, listed as L/S in the product name. They are the usual pick where sun exposure or light abrasion is the concern and a jacket would be too much.
