What is the three step skin system?
Protect, clean, restore. A barrier cream goes on before work so contamination sits on the cream rather than in the skin. A cleanser removes it during and after. A restore cream puts moisture back afterwards, which is what stops the cracking that leads to dermatitis. Clothing House stocks all three individually, plus wall mounted skin safety centres holding the whole system in one unit, in 3 step and 4 step versions.
Gritted cleanser or lotion cleanser?
Gritted for heavy soiling, oil and grease, where the abrasive does the work. Lotion or beaded gel for lighter soiling and for frequent use, because scrubbing gritted cleanser into skin several times a day damages it. If people are washing constantly, the lotion is the better answer and the restore cream matters more.
Cartridge dispenser or a bottle?
Cartridges are sealed, so the product cannot be contaminated or watered down, and the dispenser meters the dose. Bottles and 5 litre containers are cheaper per use. Larger sites run cartridges in washrooms and a 5 or 15 litre container in the workshop.
