What hi vis class does a warehouse need?
Most sites with forklift traffic specify at least Class 2, which a vest or a certified polo will meet. Class 3 is normally reserved for yards and anywhere vehicles move at speed, and it usually takes a certified top plus certified trousers to reach. The class is on the garment label; check it against your site rule rather than assuming a bright colour is enough.
Do warehouse staff need a toecap?
Plenty of warehouses do not specify one, which is why this section includes occupational footwear certified to EN ISO 20347 as well as safety footwear to EN ISO 20345. If a pallet truck runs over a foot, the toecap matters; if the risk is slipping and standing, comfort and grip matter more. Your risk assessment decides, not us.
What helps for standing all shift?
A cushioned midsole and a replaceable insole do more than anything else, and a proper work sock stops a stiff boot rubbing. Slip resistance is certified separately as SRA, SRB or SRC, and SRC means it passed on both test surfaces.
Anything specific for cold store?
Thermal gloves, a base layer and a bodywarmer that leaves the arms free for handling. Steel toecaps conduct cold considerably more than composite ones, which is worth knowing before kitting out a chilled operation.
