Facilities — common questions
Straight answers about what we stock, how it is sold and which standard applies.
Why does this section include cleaning chemicals?
Because facilities teams buy them alongside their uniform, and splitting the two across separate suppliers is how a monthly order becomes two monthly orders. Chemicals, mops and brushware, paper and wipes, sacks and liners and hand care are all here, and all also live in the Cleaning section.
Do facilities staff need safety footwear?
Usually not. Occupational footwear to EN ISO 20347 has no toecap requirement and is the right answer where the risk is slipping and being on your feet, which describes most cleaning and caretaking. Slip resistance is the specification that matters, marked SRA, SRB or SRC.
What is the sensible uniform for a mixed team?
A polo and a sweatshirt in one colour, embroidered with the site or company name, is what most facilities teams settle on. It survives a hot wash, identifies staff to the public and costs less than a full workwear specification. Send the quote request with headcount and sizes.
Can we set up a monthly reorder?
Send the quote request with what you get through in a month and we will put the list together. Standard delivery is £6 inc VAT and free over £150 inc VAT.
